Despite increasing our production, it is important to us to maintain a respect of the land, and historical methods of my husband’s Metis culture, beliefs, and values.
Maple Syrup equipment and techniques have greatly evolved from the Metis/indigenous ways to today’s, high tech, highly regulated, sophisticated systems. We value the opportunity to teach the generations of children who come to visit about syrup production and Northern Ontario History.
